Doozy of a race today for the PNW ORCA winter series championship race. A proper downwind race from Seward Park to Magnusson Park on Lake Washington with a southern wind in the 20 to 30mph range. This segment is from just before the I-90 floating bridge that spans the lake and makes for some spicy rebound. The inbound waves become rebound waves, and the paddling is truly very technical and challenging, especially in an Epic V14.

Took an unfortunate swim at the second rebound bridge crossing when I ran into an inflatable raft that cost me the race (and ten minutes), but had fun none the less. Racing is racing.
